Our journey to where we are

How the paths of REA & Housing.com converged and the milestones that we have achieved on our journey so far

2011

PropTiger.com began operating in 8 major cities across India.

2012

Housing.com burst onto the scene in the digital real estate space.

2013

Makaan.com launched its website & mobile app with 9 branches nationwide & a headcount of 388.

2014

Housing.com launched 3D models of properties, home loan services and online rental agreements among other services.

2015

PropTiger acquired OoBI and Makaan, while Housing acquired IREF and RBI. By the end of the year, there were 12 branches nationwide with a headcount of 480.

2016

REA Group invested in PropTiger, which also acquired PropRates and 3Dphy. The company expanded to 17 branches nationwide and reached a headcount of 1217.

2017

Housing.com, PropTiger.com, and Makaan merged to become the first online-to-offline digital real estate brand.

2019

REA India (formerly Elara tech: Housing-PropTiger-Makaan) acquired FastFox.com.

2020-21

REA entered into a binding agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Elara Technologies, which was subsequently rebranded as REA India.
